As you probably know, Palworld is about collecting cute and dangerous creatures called Pals. They are great companions and diligent workers, as they help in the base. However, sometimes they feel a little bit lazy and don’t work. In this guide we will tell you how to deal with these situations.

Pals not working – mechanical reasons

  1. Statuses – there are some statuses which make your Pals lazy or refuse to work altogether. You should take good care of your friends, and keep them happy (high San value).
  2. Perks – various pals are dedicated to different jobs. For example, a Ground critter will help you to seed, but it will not water the plants.

Pals not working – technical issues

  1. Pathfinding – if there are too many trees within boundaries of your base, Pals may have problems with pathfinding. Chop them down. The problems also arise when there are too many big critters. If your Pals seem to be lost, grab them and “throw” at the proper workstation.
  2. Rendering – this problem is mainly observed on busy servers. The game renders only the immediate vicinity of players and the base is frozen. While in this state, Pals do not work. If you experience that, try to restrict the amount of people playing at the same time. The imminent workaround is simply to be in a close distance to the base.
