On thursday, September 29, soulslike game Steelrising will receive another update. Along with the patch the highly anticipated New Game Plus mode will be added to the game. Developers from studio Spiders briefly discussed the details of the upcoming patch in an announcement published on, among other websites, Reddit.

The option will function on the same principle as in other games. New Game Plus will be available to anyone who has already completed the title. It will enable us to start the adventure all over again, only that with all the progress made so far and with a significantly increased level of difficulty. In NG+ we will encounter unique, more powerful variants of familiar enemies, as well as new weapons with unique attacks and an outfit not available outside of New Game Plus.

Studio Spiders has also taken on the balance of the basic version of Steelrising, including ice musketeers, grenades, ammunition and some bosses. There will also be various improvements to the technical layer, although no specifics have been provided so far.

Perhaps the changes include improvements to the game's optimization, which, as seen in the comments under the announcement on the Steam forum, seems to be the main problem for many Steelrising players.

He started with platformers, which he still dearly loves (including metroidvania), but he's also interested in card games (including 'analog'), brawlers, soulslike games and basically every other type of game. Don't ask about the graphics – after a few hours of exposition, he can be delighted with pixelated characters from games that remember the days of the Game Boy age (if not older).
