The foundation of survival games is crafting and exploration. Both of those aspects are intertwined, and they are ultimately what makes a game fun and interesting – preparing for the unknown by creating necessary gear to get there, and then venturing to unveil the world’s secrets. When it comes to mysteries, there is one specific in Palworld. We are talking about the big tree that doesn’t let game’s fans rest easy. What is it all about? Can you get there? Here you will learn all that is known so far about the huge monument looming on the horizon.

Big tree in Palworld explained

Palworld offers a lot of freedom when it comes to exploration. This is a crucial part of survival genre. It is only natural that you would like to travel to any place that catches your attention, and in the case of this game, many players would like to know what mystery the big tree hides. Standing proud on the horizon in the north-western corner of the map, it seems to be more than inviting. The thing is that you can’t get there… as of now.

Yes, unfortunately the tree is inaccessible in the current version of Palworld. There are fans who have tried to fly there on their Pals, though eventually they have bumped into an invisible wall that prevents them from going further. Of course, people created their theories what is there, some of them jokingly state that it’s an Erdtree or Hailigtree from Elden Ring, which is obviously not true, yet the resemblance is uncanny.

One of the explanations is that it is simply an element of decoration, though it is also possible that the tree will be used in future patches, extensions or DLCs to Palworld. It is not rare that game developers expand the worlds they have created basing on fans’ theories. With how popular the tree is becoming, we can expect that at some point in the future it will be accessible to explore. It is highly probable, especially as they have promised additional islands in the roadmap that they have shared on X (formely Twitter), not long ago.
